Christ University was founded in 1969. It offers quality education in the field of Science, Arts, Commerce, Law, Management, Computer Science, and Mass Communication. The application form for the majority of UG and PG courses is made available on the official website of Christ University in the month of December each year while the application process for MBA & Ph.D. is initiated in the month of October.

Christ University offers various UG, PG and M.Phil & Ph.D. programs in General as well as Honors modes in its Bengaluru, Kengeri, and Bannerghatta campuses.

Eligibility Criteria


The Scheme shall be open to all Ph.D. Scholars of the University subject to the following eligibility criteria.

1. The candidate must be pursuing full-time Ph.D. Programme at the University has successfully completed the Coursework.

2. The Candidate should not be receiving any grant or research assistance by whatever name called from any other source including UGC.

3. The Candidate should not be engaged in any part-time or full-time employment of any nature during the entire tenure of Fellowship.

4. The candidate must be present full time at the University during the period of the fellowship.

5. Candidates who are UGC-NET and/or MPhil qualified will be preferred.

6. Candidates to be eligible for Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) shall satisfy the following additional criteria:

a. Adequate compliance with the requirements as specified in the Ph.D. Regulations as certified by the Ph.D. Supervisor.

b. No arrears in Fee Payment

c. Research has progressed without any extension of a duration other than approved.

d. Not otherwise disqualified as per this Regulation.

Personal interview for each candidate by an expert panel

Academic Performance

Assessment of past performance in Degree and MPhil and the research proposal during the Personal Interview

1. Candidates must report for the above selection process at the allotted date and at least 30 minutes prior to the time as stipulated in the Selection Process E-Admit Card.

2. Those candidates not reaching the venue at the allotted time will not be permitted to take part in the selection process.

3. The candidates are requested to start early to avoid traffic congestions.

4. Request for change in Selection Process dates will not be entertained.

5. Candidates have to access their selection process E-Admit Card from the link “Application Status" from the University website and print the same.
