MU OET conducted by Manipal Academy of Higher Education (formerly Manipal University) has released MET 2019 application form on October 10. The application form is available in an online mode for candidates who meet the specified eligibility criteria. The university will conduct MET 2019, the national level entrance exam earlier known as MU OET tentatively in May for B.Tech admissions. MET 2019 (1st and 2nd attempt) will be held in 44 Indian cities and Dubai. A third attempt will be offered to students in the last week of May. Admissions to Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal; Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology, Sikkim and Manipal University, Jaipur will be through MET 2019. Candidates who have secured at least 50% marks in their Class 12th can apply for MET. The result of MET 2019 will be announced probably in the last week of May. HOW TO APPLY?
The application form for MET 2019 is available in an online mode starting from October 10, 2018, for all the aspiring candidates. Following are the steps for filling up the application form for MET 2019:
  1. Registration: Candidates are required to fill in details such as Email, Mobile number and password in order to register for the exam. 
  2. Personal Details: Candidates have to enter their personal details, address and upload their photograph as well as signature.
  3. Course Selection: After providing all the necessary personal details, candidates are required to select their course, exam centre, category along with their academic details.
  4. Fee Payment:Later, the candidates would be asked to pay their fees which can be done through Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card/ Cash Cards, Paytm/ Mobile wallets. The application fee is the same for all the category students.
  5. Confirmation & Submission: After successfully completing the application form, candidates are required to take the print out for their reference.

ELIGIBILITY
  • Candidates who are willing to take admission in any of the Manipal University campus would be required to meet the eligibility criteria of MET 2019 as would be set by the admission authority of the institute. The criteria to be met are as follows:
  • Candidates should have completed their 10+2 (or equivalent) examination, A Level, IB, American 12th grade
  • Candidates should have secured at least 50% marks in Physics, Mathematics and any of the optional subjects (Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology or any technical vocational subject)
  • Students must have studied Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with the optional subject
  • Minimum 50% marks are required to qualify the MU OET 2019 entrance exam
  • No minimum age is required

Candidates appearing for the entrance test of Manipal University are required to be thorough with the syllabus of MET 2019 before they appear for the online exam. MET Slot Booking 2019
Candidates who have successfully filled in their application form and have sent it to the institute are then required to book their slots for the examination centre and examination date and time as per their preference and convenience when they wish to take the test. The slot booking process is on the first-come, first-served basis which means if a particular slot gets filled then no more booking can be made on that particular slot. It is mandatory for all the candidates to complete the slot booking of MET 2019. No more changes can be made under any circumstances after the slots have been successfully selected by the candidates.

FEE PAYMENT
The application fee for MET 2019 will be Rs. 2000 which includes the application fee and the examination fee. In case, the candidate wants to sit for the 2nd attempt (only if the candidate is not able to score at least 50% marks), they are required to pay the MU OET examination fee only.
