Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET) is conducted by Delhi University (DU) in order to offer admission to aspirants in undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), M.Phil and PhD programmes. DUET exam is of two hour duration for all courses.

HOW TO APPLY?

Mentioned below are the complete details to apply for DU Entrance Exam:

  • The application form for entrance exam will be filled through online mode.
  • In the DU Application Form 2019, candidates have to make their login Id for further procedures of application.
  • The application form will be started from the first week of June 2019 for PG courses and third week of June 2019 for UG courses.
  • The form can be filled before the third week of June 2019 for PG courses and the last week of June 2019 for UG courses.
  • The candidate can select programme and college (where they wishes to take admission and meets the desired cutoff criterion) and generate the admission form.
  • Candidates should fill the application form carefully which will be used for further communication.
  • Candidates must take the printout of filled-in admission form.

ELIGIBILITY

The eligibility criteria for DU entrance exam for UG and PG courses is given below:

For UG Courses:
Courses Qualification Eligibility
BMS/B.A. (Hons.) Business Economics/BBA (FIA) Candidate should have passed/appearing 12th examination by securing 60% in four papers including English, Mathematics and other two subjects from the list of elective subjects as approved by the University of Delhi (55% for SC, ST, CW and PwD categories).
Candidates applying for improvement in 2019 shall not be eligible for admission.
B.Tech (Information technology & Mathematical Innovation) 10 + 2 examination with Mathematics.
Minimum 60 % in four subjects (including mathematics), 54% for OBC, 57% for PwD/ CW category and passing marks for SC/ST.
B.A. (Hons.) Humanities & Social Sciences Passed/appearing 10+2 examination.
Minimum marks criteria applicable as B.Tech (Information technology & Mathematical Innovation).
Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EL.Ed) 12th passed/appearing with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
B.Sc. in Physical Education, Health Education & Sports 12th passed/appearing with at least 45% aggregate marks (The aggregate marks will be determined on the basis of one language and three best subjects).
B.A. (Hons.) Multi Media & Mass Comm. Minimum qualification is 12th passed/appearing with 75% aggregate of best four including 85% in English (for general category).
This course is only for women candidates.
For PG Courses:

The eligibility of PG courses is different for every course. Here, we have mentioned the eligibility for some courses:

M.Tech Microwave Electronics M.Sc. Electronics or M.Sc. Physics with specialization in Electronics by obtaining minimum 60% marks
Or
B.Tech./B.E. Electrical/ Electronics/ Electronics and Communication/ Instrumentation Engineering by obtaining minimum 60% marks.
M.Sc. Physics B.Sc in related subjects or any branch of Science or Engineering with Physics and Mathematics passed with minimum 60% aggregate marks (50% marks for B.Sc. (Hons.))
M.Com B.Com (Hons.) or B.A. (Hons.) Economics Or B.Com Or B.B.S. B.B.A. , B.B.A., B.I.F.A., and B.B.E degree from recognized institution.
MCA Bachelor degree (10+2+3 Scheme) from the University of Delhi with at least one paper in Mathematical Sciences (Mathematics, computer Science, Statistics, Operational research).
M.A. Political Science B.A. Degree with 50% marks or any other graduate degree (Science/commerce/Engineering etc) with 60% marks from the recognized University/institution.
LL.M. A three-year/five year LL.B. Degree with 50% marks (45% marks for OBC/SC/ST category candidates).
SYLLABUS

  • DU syllabus will vary depending on the course which the student selects. 
  • Syllabus for PG courses may comprise of B.A./B.Com/B.Sc. (or equivalent) syllabus of the University of Delhi.
  • For UG courses, the syllabus will have topics from the 10+2 level from the respective stream.
EXAM PATTERN

Here students can check Delhi University 2019 exam pattern:

  • Duration of Exam: The exam duration will be of total 2 hours.
  • Type of Questions: The question paper will contain MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) except for language courses.
  • Exam Mode: The exam will be conducted through computer based mode.
  • Marking Scheme: Four marks will be given for each correct answer for UG courses.
  • Negative Marking: One mark will be deducted for wrong answer (UG courses).
FEE PAYMENT
Courses Application Fee
UG entrance based/PG courses Rs. 500/- for UR/OBC/CW/Minorities and Rs. 250/- for SC/ST/PwD.
UG merit based courses Rs. 150/- for UR/OBC and Rs. 100/- for sports/ECA and Rs. 75/- for SC/ST/PwD.
ADMIT CARD
  • The admit card will be released one or two weeks prior to the exam date. The university will also send a SMS to the registered mobile number regarding availability of DU card 2019.
  • After printing the admit card, candidates are required to paste their self attested passport size photograph on the notified space. Only those candidates who possess a valid DU Admit Card shall be allowed to take the Entrance Test.
  • Candidates must take at least two print copies of their admit card generated online. Candidates have to submit one admit card to the invigilators at the exam center.

SELECTION PROCEDURE
  1. Selection of candidates depend solely on their merit
  2. Candidates must attend counseling before prescribed date and time
  3. Based on the performance, the merit list shall made and counseling shall be held.
  4. Counseling is the way to verify the seat in the respective college be a one on one session offline.
  5. DU will release a merit list of candidates who successfully complete the document verification process for DU Test  counseling and seat allotment. Merit list candidates will have to then log-in to DU counseling 2019 portal and participate in choice filling; it is recommended that candidates fill as many choices as possible, in the order of priority, to have a good chance at admission.
  6. Please also note that candidates will be able to fill fresh choices for each round.
  7. DU counseling will be conducted in online mode on different days, with candidates being placed under several groups based on normalized marks of 10+2.
