The earlier reports of MHRD considering to include the syllabus of State Boards in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test has been falsified. An official announcement has been released by CBSE stating that there will be no changes in the syllabus of NEET 2018.
The official notification for NEET 2018 will be released soon. Every year lakhs of students sit for NEET exam to pursue MBBS and last minute changes in the syllabus would definitely be an added pressure for students who have been preparing for the entrance since the very beginning. NEET is said to be one of the toughest exams with a lot of difference in the ratios of students sitting for the exam and seats available. It was a moment of relief for the students when they got the official notification which was –
“The syllabus of NEET (UG) 2018 will be exactly same as it was for NEET (UG) 2017. There is no change in the syllabus of NEET (UG) 2018”.
The paper will be conducted in offline mode; it will be an objective type of paper with 180 questions in total which have to be conducted in a duration of 3 hours.

For each correct answer, the student is awarded 4 marks and one mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
In 2017, a total of 11,38,890 students appeared for NEET exam including 1,522 NRIs and 613 foreigners and the number is expected to be even higher this year.
