AUCET that is Andhra University Common Entrance Test is organised by the University of Andhra Pradesh. It is organised to provide admission to the candidates in Post graduation courses.

By qualifying AUCET, the candidate gets admission under Science, Teaching, Commerce, Management, Humanities and Mass Comm. After qualifying Andhra University Common Entrance Test, the candidate can get admission in DR. B.R. Ambedkar University, Srikakulam also, depending on their choice.

The Directorate of Admission of Andhra Pradesh is responsible authority for the AUCET. The exam is conducted every year.

  • The aspirants can fill the form by visiting the official website of Andhra Pradesh University.

  • The candidate must fill the form by entering all the necessary details at the right place.
  • Now attach the scanned copy of all the necessary documents.
  • Ones done verify all the details entered by you and then submit.
  • The candidates are requested to keep a print out copy of the filled application for further use.
  • After submitting the application, the candidate must fill the application fee.


The exam is conducted by the Andhra University

  • Nationality and Domicile
  • Candidate should be of Indian Nationality.
  • Studebts should bbelongto the state of Andhra Pradesh only and should satisfy Local / Non-Local status requirements as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh State Educational Institutions or 1974 as subsequently amended
  • Candidate should satisfy Local / Non Local status requirement as per AP GO MS NO 153
  • Students other than Indian National should satisfy the rules of the Universities concerned

 Educational Qualifications

  • Candidate who have already passed their qualifying degree exam (or) who have appeared/appearing for the final year exam in 2018 only are eligible for entrance test
  • Qualified Candidates in an advanced supplementary examination of 2018 are also eligible
  • Candidates from other recognised Universities are considered for admission into PG Arts and Science courses only if they possess a three-year Bachelor’s Degree of 10+2+3 or 12+3 or 11+1+3 pattern, with the prescribed minimum percentage of marks, unless otherwise specified
  • who Candidates acquired Bachelor’s Degree by Distance Education without 10+2+3 pattern are also eligible for admission into P.G. Courses, subject to submission of residence certificate
  • Candidates must be Bachelor’s Degrees of BA/B.Sc. /B.Com/B.A.Litt and the respective Universities should recognise B.L from Universities other than AP as equivalent thereto
  • The requirement for admission into all Science and Engineering Courses offered by these universities is a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Group Subjects (Part II) of the qualifying exam unless or otherwise specified. For SC & ST candidates, a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in-group subjects (Part II) is sufficient
  • The requirement for Arts, Commerce and Law courses is generally a pass in the appropriate qualifying degree, except for M.Sc. Anthropology for which the requirement is a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in-group subjects (Part-II) in the qualifying exam and for SC& ST candidates, a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in the group subjects. The requirement for M.Ed. Course is a pass with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks (45% for SC & ST Candidates)
  • Candidates who have already passed their qualifying degree examination or who have appeared / are appearing for the final exam in 2018 only are eligible for AUCET-2018

 Age Limit

  • There is no age restriction for AUCET (Self Financing). However maximum eligible age for obtaining a Fee Reimbursement in respect of SC/ST and BC IS 34 Years and in respect of EBC / Minorities/Disabled id 30 Years.

The syllabus of Andhra University Common Entrance Test 2019 depends upon the paper that you have opted for.

All interested and eligible candidates are instructed to go through the important highlights associated with AUCET 2018 exam pattern:

  • Total number of questions will be 100 and candidates will get 90 minutes to solve those questions
  • Every question will contain four alternatives among which they need to mark the right answer
  • Candidates are required to mark the appropriate answer of questions in OMR sheet only
  • They are not allowed to mark the answer on the test booklet
  • The paper will consist of 100 objective type and Multiple-choice questions in 1 & 1/2 hours duration.
  • Medium of instruction in all P.G. Courses except languages offered will be in English. Hence the candidates shall write their subsequent examinations after admission, in English only
